has to be sent in together with order, or a like anount must

be deposited in a solid local bank in security of the recep-

tion of our draft, we will then draw on the remainder of the

amount through this bank, in which the above named amount has

to be deposited, and we must of course have direct informa-

tion from the bank, that the named depositing has taken place.

As soon as circumstances have got more normal, or our co-opera-

tion with you has grown regular, we are willing to grant the

usual export-credit for all orders. As far as possible, we

request you to give us your references here in Europe, when

sending in your orders. Regarding delivery of goods, and terms

for purchase, we must of course under the present circumstances

have as free hands as possible, undertaking of course always to

buy best and cheapest possible, our great experience as export-

house being our guarantee for this. In case of large orders,

prices and terms for delivery may be agreed upon per wire, but

here it must be considered, that telegrams under the present

circumstances are very expensive, having to wire in clear

language, and at full price.

Besides over-sea export-business, we also carry on

over-sea importation on a large scale, this having just for

the present great chances, Copenhagen being not only the

Central and the Staple for the whole of Scandinavia, but also,

in consequence of the great conflict, for those markets, which

were previously provided via Hamburg.

Every Exporter may therefore be advised to send us con

signments of all saleable goods and articles, we being able,

under the present circumstances, which have stopped all supplies

and reduced them much, on account of the very few firms outside
